Niagara Falls

Horse Shoe Falls and Cascades

Length 167 feet, or 50.9m
Column of water 600,000us gallons or 2,271,247 liters per second
It is an impressive amount of water and beautiful to look at, but you can only stare at it for so long. On the Canadian side, to keep guests entertained, there are streets behind the falls with restaurants and other Vegas like entertainment.

We camped the night in a hotel car park, we did get permission and the car park was empty so they didn’t mind.

I am a bit late in posting these photos but, since we visited, the boat in the photos that had been stuck on the rocks before the falls for 101 years was dislodged. During the Halloween storms the Iron scow turned and moved 150 feet further towards the falls.

Toronto

Toronto was a city we would have been happy to skip, but it is the largest city in Canada and I thought that it would be like skipping Sydney, but unlike Sydney Toronto is neither that touristy nor beautiful, but it is a nice liveable working city, with plenty of bike paths and places to visit. The other main reason for visiting Toronto, was to see the rest of the 2nd cousin family, the third brother. I didn’t know what sort of reception we would get seeing as we have never met before but again like the families in BC they were unbelievably welcoming, letting us camp in their driveway for a few days, moochdocking. It was lovely to get to know them and their dogs, a highlight of the roadtrip so far for Laura was to share her bed with Luna the dog. I know, forget the falls, national parks, cities and fun parks, just give her a dog to cuddle. They took us and the dogs for walks around their lovely neighbourhood, and we unicycled the rest. Thanks so much for having us.

Ottawa

Canada's capital

A great city, we spent a couple of days unicycling around the sights.
