New Year's Eve Concert in Nashville Tennessee

Sorry, but we have been moving so fast and doing so much that I haven't had time to keep posting.  I am going to start where we are today and hopefully work backwards to fill in the gaps.  Just starting to get ourselves sorted and enjoy being here.

Yesterday we drove down from Caves City in Kentucky to Nashville through a bit of wild weather and parked in the Fare-ground of Nashville where we have hookup and it is close to town.  We waited out the tornado warnings and the rain and caught an Uber into town about 9:30pm to see the concert.

With an estimated 200,000 others we watched a great show and managed to hail a cab by about 1:30am.  It was really worth it.

  1. Sounds good. Don’t worry about too many posts. We all know that you are out and about and looking at stuff. I have been trying to use my new phone and on the charger all night and 4% charged. That is about right and it takes forever to fully charge then it is only 77% fully charged so something is wrong there. Laurie said he talked to you and I tried but phone too low. Anyway, as you said, you will get lost, things will not work, dog will vomit in the van and so on…all part of the experience. Some you could do without but what the hell. Terribly hot here today, 29 already in the kitchen and it is only about 6 am Wed. Bit sad to see the lights outside go, got used to the twinkling on the lounge room walls. Anyway, off to have a coffee and start the day with watching the 7 am news from the ABC where Jim persists, like dad did, in talking to the news…..ah go home blackie, what would YOU know Morrison and so on….I say Jim those people ARE home, it is a picture taken in Uganda, Sudan etc.. they are NOT here…he says how come we are looking at them, I say just a satellite picture Jim, showing the drought, flood, vornado etc.. so you need to have a bit of sympathy for their circsumstances……he remembers for about a minute, then it starts again……aaaggghhh

  2. Happy New Year Beasley crew. You are going to have a fabulous 2019. Can’t tell you how envious we are!! Woodford was awesome and has led me to research (aka google) big folk festivals the world over. Am adding some to my bucket list! Some big festivals in the US too. Take care and take it slowly.
