While staying in La Penita we were so close to Puerto Vallarta that  I couldn't leave without seeing it.  I watched  the "Love boat" dock there so many times as a kid, unfortunately Acapulco apparently has too much cartel activity to make it save so we never got to see the cliff divers.

We hired Carols car and drove in for the day, stopping at the tequila factory for a look at the process and some tasting.
