Lavender and Herb farm

On our way to Radium Hot Springs – via Okanagan Valley

Road side stop, allowed to stay overnight. Restrooms and a food truck with hot Samosas, yummy.

Corn drive through, and the best strawberries. I had forgotten strawberries could taste this good.

Lunch at Harrison Hot Springs.

Lavender and Herb farm. We stopped here so that I could see the Lavender farm, no one else was really interested. It was beautiful, buzzing with bees.

Just before Salmon Arm we stopped in at a quirky little store, Daves goat bridge.

Over night stop at a Harvest Host farm produce store and petting zoo. We loved this stop.

Cherry picking

On the way to Ravelstoke we saw a sign for cherry picking so followed it to a back yard where we could pick our own cherries and encouraged to eat as many as we wanted on the way. Fantastic, I don’t think I have seen cherry trees like this before.

Hiking trail at Revelstoke closed because of bears.

Glacier National Park and a beautiful free campsite on the banks on the river.

Radium Hot Springs

We turned up at at RVVR expecting a relaxing few days to catch up with things to be told that we can’t have both truck camper and trailer on the same site even though there is plenty of room.
Blah blah resort, blah blah against rules, blah blah, because you can separate camper and trailer, blah blah rules can’t possibly be broken. The resort is already expensive but we can charge you another 45 dollars to park the truck and camper in the overflow parking Blah blah. As a compromise because we are Aussies and don’t know the drill we were able to park the truck down the bottom of the camp site for free, if I promised we would not use it for camping. Never mind that there is a great big class A bus parked next to us, but because we can separate blah blah for Pete s sake as mum would say, (She will probably read this or I would use the F word.) Great but very inconvenient because our wifi and hard drive are in the truck camper. We have come across these rules in the states but they seem to be a bit more flexible with rules.

PS Hot springs were great, very relaxing.
