Whistler
Canada day in Whistler
While in Fort Langley I rang my second cousins in Vancouver, my Grandmothers sisters family, whom I have never met they were lovely and invited us over to their club for dinner.
Our accommodation problems were sorted when Chris offered us a parking place in Whistler, he was going to his unit in a Village just outside of Whistler for the weekend and offered us the second parking space and Bruce his brother, other cousin, kindly let us leave the caravan on his street in Vancouver.
Whistler was busy with tourists as expected, but there was still room to park the camper, even on Canada Day it turned out that there was plenty of parking spaces, plenty of room to watch the parade and to watch The Tenors concert. After the crowds in the US this was a nice change. What a great day, The Tenors were amazing. Thanks Whistler and Chris for sharing your holiday home, we are very grateful.
Vancouver
Vancouver
Left Whistler for Vancouver and parked the camper alongside the caravan outside Bruce and Mais house for a few days while we took a look around Vancouver, what a fantastic city. It was only Derek and I so we wandered around the harbour watching the sea planes coming and going and because it was getting cold and windy we decided to have lunch in the revolving restaurant and just sit and watch the panoramic view of Vancouver.
The Cousins
The cousins were unbelievably welcoming and generous, I hope we get to repay them one day. Bruce had the honour of being an Olympic torchbearer, he showed us how it was done, and let us re-enact the moment.
Thank you so much for your hospitality.
