This Trip

Bela-Bela (Warmbaths) and (Sondela)

Stop 1:
We spent a few days in Sondela Nature Reserve and Spa. The first game drive was interesting. During the drive we alighted to look at a midden made by a Wildebeest. While standing there a warthog came running towards us. A bit concerned we stood our ground. To our surprise it came up and bumped both myself and Laurence's legs leaving dirty marks from its nose. It stayed around circling us until we slowly made our way back to the vehicle. Driving back to the campground it chased us determinedly. Later that night we are sure the same warthog came to visit us in the campground, and we realised it was a pet. There was also an Inala that had been befriended.

Spending a day at the Baths we played on the water tube slides. We had a race and Lawerence won by going airborne over the second to last bump and missing the next bump altogether. later a youngster was stopped in one of the tubes waiting on mates. Unfortunately for him the next one down the tube was Lawerence and not his mates. He was ejected from the bottom of the tube by Lawerence as he came down.

Vaalwater

Stop 2. Bit of a tight entry. Lots of low and narrow points in from the gate. Open air shower and toilet that looked pretty however privacy was a bit low.
Rose and Lawrence got to try out their camping purchases. Cold was the consensus.
R & L went for a walk and saw some giraffe and buck.
For the trip back out we used the service road which was much more open.
