Canada BC Fort Langley
Canada
Drove through the border check without any problems, the officer asked us a bunch of question like do you have firearms, ammunition, bear spray, potato spray, What! was that a trick question to see if we were listening. There was a truck right beside us so it was hard to hear, Derek said we had potatoes, thinking there was some pest the Canadians didn’t want you to bring across the border. I think he said pepper spray, but he just laughed at us, stamped our passports and waved us though.
Fort Langley
A leafy camp site on an island near Fort Langley, a small touristy town. Easy walks into town, around the fort and along the river. A great campsite but I hadn’t planned for Canada Day on the 1st of July. I thought it would be a good idea to get out of USA before the 4th of July weekend and the shortage of accommodation, but I didn’t realise that Canada Day was the 1st July so we still had an accommodation problem. All the camp sites were full.
