Grand Staircase Escalante

On the way to Bryce we stopped at the old Paria ghost town movie set  in the Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument, near Kanab, Utah. The movie set had been burnt down years ago but the scenery was still magnificent and worth the detour.

The  Grand stair case, has the worlds most complete sequence of sedimentary rocks, from Vermillion cliffs, white cliffs, gray cliffs, and pink cliffs. In some places the colours are quite obvious.
